This collection consists of negatives and contact sheets taken by Margo Rosenbaum during her career as a photographer from
the late 1970s through the 1990s. Her images were used in two-person exhibitions with her husband Art Rosenbaum and in his
publications regarding traditional American folk music. Some of the images appear in these publications: Folk Visions and
Voices: Traditional Music and Song in North Georgia, Shout Because You're Free: The African American Ring Shout Tradition
in Coastal Georgia, The Art of the Mountain Banjo, and Art of Field Recording: 50 Years of Traditional American Music Documented
by Art Rosenbaum.

The Lectures consist of lectures of Olin Downes from 1932-1953. Lectures include handwritten manuscripts, typed drafts with
corrections, and final copies. The lectures document Downes' knowledge in the field of music and discuss various composers;
types of music including classical, folk songs, blues, and opera; music and society; music history and theory; and music interpretation.
Many of the lectures were produced for the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences lecture series, broadcasts for the CBS
Music Hour, or for speeches and talks for various societies and musical organizations.
